Rough Mix was a writer's workshop active in LA from 1980-1982. The workshop consisted of four friends who met in a garage behind the house Dave rented that had been converted into a small recording studio. These are recovered recordings of five of Dave's tunes brought to the workshop. The tunes had to be recovered from deteriorating tape so they are not pristine and there are some audible glitches. Since these recordings were made Bruce Malament and Chuck Silverman have unfortunately passed. Both of them made significant contributions to the world of music. Hopefully, these recordings can showcase their talents and be in some small way a tribute to them.
